Cobb County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, accept bond, pull an official booking record, or change a court file. For an answer about a person or record, contact the agency that created or holds it.

Where to Ask for a Record
Choose the office by record type. A jail booking and a police incident report are not the same file.
- For a current county custody result or recent admission, use the Cobb County booking hub, then contact the Sheriff if the online result is incomplete.
- For a booking sheet or booking photograph, use Sheriff Records and Identification and the Sheriff open-records instructions. The public roster does not display photos.
- For a Cobb County Police report serving Mableton, use the Cobb Police Open Records Center.
- For a Marietta Police report, use the Marietta report request page or call MPD Records at (770) 794-5300, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- For a Smyrna Police or Smyrna Jail matter, call Records and Identification at (678) 631-5070, the main line at (770) 434-9481, or dispatch at (770) 434-6666.
- For a wanted-list or specific warrant question, use Most Wanted and warrant information. The Sheriff lists warrant information at (770) 499-4634.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search. For federal or ICE custody, use the BOP locator or ICE locator.
What to Include in a Request
Give the agency enough detail to find the right record and separate the booking request from the arrest report.
- Use the person’s full name and approximate date of arrest or admission.
- Add the SOID, case number, arresting agency, or city when known.
- Say whether the request concerns an incident report, booking record, booking photograph, court file, or custody confirmation.
- Ask for electronic delivery when available and request a cost estimate before work beyond the free time allowance.
- Keep the agency response and any court disposition together. A charge at booking is an accusation and may change.
Georgia’s Open Records Act generally requires a response within a reasonable time not exceeding three business days, or an explanation of timing, cost, or withholding. A response deadline is not a guarantee of instant production.
News, Court, and Alerts
The Cobb County crime-news page lists local reporting routes, but news outlets cannot confirm current custody for every story. For case results, use the relevant Cobb court search. For release notifications from the Adult Detention Center, the Sheriff’s VINE information points to the registration service.
Questions sent to this private site cannot substitute for the official contacts above. The originating office controls the record, its current status, its fee decision, and its release policy.
